Everything you can do with this hair tool

When I opened my multi-styler for the first time, I noticed that Shark has done an excellent job of utilizing the space on the box to explain the styling options and what each attachment provides. There are also multiple QR codes that direct you to videos on how to use the multi-styler.

What’s great about this product is that it’s truly an all-in-one styler — think hair dryer, blowout brush, straightener, and curling iron in a single tool. Do you want a bouncy blowout? It can do that. Need to create a straight, sleek look? It’s got you covered. Want to smooth pesky flyaways before heading out to dinner? Consider it done. Have only a few minutes to do a quick refresh of yesterday’s style? Easy peasy.

It also offers two modes tailored for styling wet or dry hair. The key difference: Wet Mode dries and styles at the same time, using lower temperatures to help protect against heat damage.

Drying with the Shark FlexFusion

During my first few dries with the Shark FlexFusion, I followed Shark’s recommended steps: a rough dry using the multi-styler without any attachments until my hair was damp, a styled dry using the wet-to-dry attachment, and a quick finish with the FrizzFighter tool. Here are my takeaways:

  • The multi-styler by itself is a great, lightweight hairdryer. It took me fewer than five minutes to get my medium-thick hair from wet to damp.
  • The wet-to-dry attachment features nylon bristles across about two-thirds of the brush, with the remaining third functioning as a heated comb. It felt a little unusual at first, but I’ve come to like the added versatility. You can use the bristled section to style damp hair, then switch to the heated comb to touch up specific areas the next day — no full restyle needed.
  • Finally, as someone who often deals with flyaways, the FrizzFighter tool is something I find really valuable in the Shark FlexFusion. It takes only a few minutes to finish a style with this attachment, and I find it worth the time.

Curling with the Shark FlexFusion

The Shark FlexFusion’s curling attachments can be used for curling damp or completely dry hair. Two curling attachments are included — one for your left side and one for your right. The left curler is for curling counterclockwise, while the right curler is for creating clockwise curls.

My hair curling and styling experience can be described as minimal at best, so having attachments that tell me exactly which way to curl is a game-changer. I found the process of curling to be a little difficult to pick up — it’s quite a bit different than using a regular curler because it uses something called the Conanda effect, which attracts and wraps hair around the barrel — but after 15 minutes of practice I felt more confident in the motions.

The Shark FlexFusion didn’t create incredibly tight curls; it offered more of a soft, bouncy blowout style. For me, I love this style but will keep a curling iron for when I want a bit of a tighter look.

My final thoughts (+ an exclusive discount code)

I’m happily surprised with how easy the Shark FlexFusion is to use. As I hinted at above, I’m not one to spend time styling my hair — often because it feels daunting to do something I’m not very good at. But with Shark’s easy-to-follow directions and video resources, I feel confident in using this multi-styler and it has quickly replaced my old hair dryer.
