If you’re headed to the movies this weekend and you happen to choose “Summer Camp” (starring celebs like Kathy Bates, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, and Alfie Woodard) you might notice some familiar faces next to the star-studded cast.

Seven Upstate residents — including three from Greenville — were cast as extras in the film and worked on set of the movie last May in Flat Rock, NC.

If we had any say, the Oscars would go to:

Joey Freeman of Greenville for “canoeing on the lake in the background”
Dede Norungolo of Greenville for “mixer + camp opening scene”
Patricia Brewster-Terrell of Greenville for “body double in a ziplining scene for Alfre Woodard”
Bill + Pam Havice of Clemson for “opening sequence of the reunion opening day”
Cindy + Jim Kennedy of Lyman for “Kathy Bates’ stand-in and Eugene Levy’s stand-in respectively”

Check out the showtimes for this ~1.5 hour comedy and keep your eyes peeled for these local celebrities.
