Good news, GVL — your Thursday evenings are about to get much more lively.

The Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive is back this week and offers a perfect way to kickstart the weekend. Live music, drink, and local art in the beautiful outdoor space at NOMA Square? Sign us up.

This weekly event, which directly benefits the Metropolitan Arts Council, happens each Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting this Thursday, March 14 and continuing through August.

Pro tip: This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring the kids and take making dinner off the table thanks to the delicious offerings of a different local food truck each week.

What’s new this year

The all-new Arts After Dark market — on the third Thursday of each month — will feature a row of artist booths offering their works, plus a few demonstrations of how they create their masterpieces. Bonus: Just by attending, you are supporting the Metropolitan Arts Council's programs and services that they provide to keep Greenville's culture thriving.
