The next time you stroll through Nicholtown, you may notice the new, reimagined “Theatre of Play” sculpture on Alameda Street.

Clemson Architecture Professor Dan Harding — who is also the university’s Director of the Community Research and Design Center — led the design and installation of the sculpture with students from the Clemson School of Architecture + students from the CommunityBUILD program.

Renowned Upstate artist Yuri Tsuzuki — who recently had her own sculpture installed in Cancer Survivors Park — said she’s happy to see the sculpture restored.
