It’s Friday, the start of a literally sweet weekend, the last few days of strawberry pickin’ at many of South Carolina’s farms.

Strawberry season is coming to an end
Good thing is, you can find some right around the bend

Whether you’re driving to Taylor's or Travelers Rest
Fresh grown berries are always the best

Blueberries, blackberries, and peaches too
Spend a day on the farm with those who mean most to you

Sandy Flat, Beechwood, and Blueberry Hill
So many berries, you’re sure to get your fill

Finally get home, grandma’s recipe awaits
...ugh, I ate too much pie, now I have a stomach ache

Where to pick ‘em right off the vine

🍓 Sandy Flat Berry Patch | 4715 Locust Hill Rd. Taylors, SC | This Sunday will be their last day offering pick your own strawberries

🍓 Beechwood Farms | 204 Bates Crossing Rd. Travelers Rest, SC | *Bonus* they’ll have fresh blackberries, picked and waiting for you when you get there this weekend

🍓 Hunter Farms | 607 Jameson Rd. Easley, SC | They’re running through their last batch of strawberries very quickly (at $6 a gallon, we understand why). Be sure to call ahead before heading out on Saturday: (864) 859-2978

🔵 Blueberry Hill Greenville | 222 Tanyard Rd. Greenville, SC | Although a late freeze decimated a portion of their blueberry crop 😔, the farm will be open for blueberry pickin’ this Saturday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Can’t pick ‘em, but you’ll still wanna eat ‘em

🍓 🍓 Strawberry Hills USA | 3097 Highway 11 W. Chesnee, SC | #DYK - This is the largest strawberry farm in the state (115 acres 😯). Unfortunately, you can’t pick your own berries (as they are a commercial farm), but seeing the largest strawberry farm in S.C. and still walking home with pre-picked, fresh berries isn’t a bad deal.

🍑 Fishers Historical Taylors Shed | 1000 Locust Hill Rd. Greer, SC | Although the orchard isn’t open for pick-your-own just yet, you can visit the famous “Taylors Shed” out in Greer to snag freshly picked peaches, cantaloupe, and even local honey 🐝

Fruit Festival Season: Summer 2017

🍑 South Carolina Peach Festival | Downtown Gaffney, SC | 🐶 Dog shows, concerts, parades, and a tractor pull 🚜 ? Gaffney’s been going all out for this one since 1977. | July 7 – 15

*Bonus: We created a map with the locations to all of the farms, stands, and orchards listed above so you don’t get lost traveling the S.C. countryside.
