We’ve been fishing around and Greenville is swimming in sushi. From trendy menus to laidback atmospheres, we’ve rounded up some top spots to score sushi.

Date night dining

TakoSushi, 34 S. Main St.
Takosushi is a great spot for making it o-fish-al. After dinner, take your date on a walk downtown + through Falls Park.

Impress the foodies

Sushi Masa, 8590 Pelham Rd.
Sushi Masa’s premier sushi, like its fresh sashimi, will have those with even the most particular of palettes saying, “Oh, that’s good fish.” It’s recommended you make a reservation.

Late night option

Otto Izakaya, 802 S. Main St. + 15 Market Point Dr.
We think sushi tastes better late at night. With its buy two, get one free deal after 10 p.m., Otto Izakaya is great for that late night snack.

Keep it casual

Sushi Go, 247 N. Main St.
DYK: Sushi is historically a casual finger food? Sushi Go is a lowkey sushi scene for those that just want to sit back and ride the sushi wave.

Bang for your buck

Aoki Sushi, 1779 Woodruff Rd., Ste. B
Who says sushi has to be expensive? Check out Aoki Sushi’s menu, with every roll priced under $16 and most under $11. Plus, if you go on weekdays between 11 a.m.-3 p.m., you get 10% off your rolls.

Tako-bout takeout

Sushi Hana, 765 Haywood Rd.
Stay in with your sashimi and try Sushi Hana. You can order online and the location off the Haywood Road exit on I-385 makes it easy to grab on your commute home.

Drink up

Tsunami, 106 E. North St.
An underrated element of the sushi experience? The booze. Tsunami keeps the drinks flowing with the Daniel-San (Japanese whiskey served straight up with Green Tea King cube) + Sakitinis (think: sake martini).

Celebrate with sushi

Sushi Murasaki, 2 S. Main St.
Sushi Murasaki will maki the moment special with its picture-perfect sushi catering. Roll out the sushi platter for your next party.

Go fish-less

Purple International Bistro & Sushi, 933 S.Main St.
Believe it or not, vegetarian and vegan sushi is out there, and it’s delicious. (Technically the name “sushi” just refers to the rice part.) Try out Purple International Bistro & Sushi’s vegetable rolls including the kanpyo maki + seaweed crunch rolls.

Bonus: branch out

Ginza Cafe, 1760 Woodruff Rd., Suite 200
Maybe you’re looking to get out of your sushi-rut and try other types of Japanese cuisine. In that case, give Ginza Cafe’s hibachi, poke bowls, ramen, bento boxes + a variety of boba tea in addition to its 25+ sushi rolls a try.
