"Thank you for the theatre coverage! Great to have it all in one place! Great job!"

"What a WIDE variety of info! Something for everyone! Y’all are SMOKIN’!!! Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!"

"Today’s edition was particularly enjoyable and informative! Great job!"

These are just a few emails from one of GVLtoday's readers, Lara Wheless. When we see her name pop up in our inbox, we know it's going to be a good day.

City Editor Stephanie here. I invited Lara to Brick Street Cafe (her first time, by the way) to chat and learn more about her after one of our coworkers at 6AM City — GVLtoday's parent company — recognized Lara's name from her IMDB page after one of her many kind emails.

As it turns out, Lara is a bit of an undercover celebrity. She did some voiceover work on some video games like "Star Trek: Birth of the Federation" and "MechWarrior 3."

Having lunch with Lara was as wholesome as you'd think it would be. I blocked off my calendar for an hour, but we ended up chatting for three. She moved to Greenville several years ago and has fallen in love with it.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking care of her kitties and bird watching. She was also incredibly excited for Whataburger. She went on opening day, and said the line was wrapped around the building.

As I was fan-girling over Lara, she was fan-girling about me and City Editor Danielle. "I don't know how the two of you do it all," she told me. "It makes me respect GVLtoday even more."

And they say you should never meet your heroes. Lara, GVLtoday loves you.
