ICYMI, back in December we told you that we were putting together a Greenville 2020 time capsule with the City of Greenville to commemorate the wild year that is now, thankfully, behind us. This time capsule was also designed to provide a snapshot of Greenville’s history as we look forward to GVL2040, the comprehensive plan that will be used by the City of Greenville to “shape its growth and evolution over the next two decades in ways that reflect how the community wants to grow.” So 20 years from now, when the plans in GVL2040 are panning out IRL, we can look back on 2020r and remember what life was like before those plans were a reality.

Yesterday, we officially buried the time capsule at Cleveland Park Stables alongside Mayor Knox White, Beth Brotherton, Greenville City Council members Wil Brasington and Dorothy Dowe, and Wyatt, Knox + Bo – the winners of our art contest depicting what Greenville will look like in 20 years.

If you missed it, you can watch the Facebook Live here.
