Looking for an old-school Barbershop in Greenville?
Gentlemen, this one is for you (and kinda for the ladies you’re planning to look fresh for at your Valentine’s date later this week).

What are some things you consider when having your haircut? Y’all said: Quality of shampoo time, location, styles offered, and the biggest factor – price.

You’re probably wondering what three females know about where to get a men’s haircut. Enter: Our amazing intern, Jaron. He asked around and found these top spots:

✂ Distinguished Gentlemen Part II

Located at 501 S. Academy St. (across from the Kroc Center) Distinguished Gentleman Part II is a local favorite. Prices start at $15 (you can see why we’re fans.) Stop by anytime between 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; no appointment required.

✂ Sharper Image

Located in Mauldin at 110 E. Butler Road, you can enjoy a conversation about Games of Thrones + get a trim at the same time for $20. Ask for: Ramon.

✂ Old Crow

Old Crow Barbershop Greenville South Carolina

Located at 738 Wade Hampton Blvd., Old Crow prides itself on being a man’s man barbershop. Patrons have the luxury of enjoying a beer + complimentary bad joke. Old Crow only accepts appointments, so make sure to call or sign up beforehand. We hear the vanguard pompadour cut is the style of choice.

✂ The Boss Barber Studio

Located at 22 W. Antrim Drive, The Boss Barber Studio is operated by Al Reid, a.k.a the most viewed barber on YouTube. The shop opens at 8 a.m. + closes at 8 p.m. (even on Sundays 🙌🏽). Ladies, you can get a haircut here too.

✂ The Brass Beard Barber Shop | 101 Victoria St. Greer

✂ Liberty Fine Cuts & Shaves | 817 E. Stone Avenue

GVLtoday reader feedback: Hey guys! In regards to the best place to get a men’s haircut in [Greenville] I have to give a plug to Liberty Fine Cuts and Shaves on E Stone Ave. It’s a very cool shop located in a renovated mechanic garage and almost all the barbers are either bikers or hot rod enthusiasts (essentially tatted up people who you would never really expect to be cosmetologists). They all have an edgier sense of style so it’s a great place if you’re looking for something a little less traditional. But they are great at everything. Also apparently their beard trimming services are top notch but I can’t grow one so I can’t participate lol. A little pricier than a great clips type of place but totally worth it! - Brantley

✂ Bullocks Barber Shop| 225 Trade St. Greer, SC

GVLtoday reader feedback: I have been going to Mike Bullock for over 30 years. – Arnold B

✂ Franks Gentleman Salon | 5A Coffee St. + 2241 Augusta St.

GVLtoday reader feedback: They serve cocktails while you get your haircut. - Williston D.

✂ West End Barber Co | 717 S. Main St.

GVLtoday reader feedback: Don’t forget about West End Barber Co on Main Street across from Husk. Tricia opened this place over a year ago and it’s the best men’s haircut experience. - Chad T.

✂ B-Unique Barber Academy | 10 Liberty Lane Greenville, SC.

Offers $5 haircuts and free veterans cuts on Tuesdays.

✂ The Golden Razor | 52B Sweetbriar Rd.

GVLtoday reader feedback: I don't want to be boastful, but I have great hair. I have lots of it and it's thick. It's always difficult for me to find someone who cuts hair well...and I was in trouble when my usual glamour technician got out of the business. I tried here and there with no success (and some bad haircuts). I finally discovered Kevin Mullen at The Golden Razor off Pleasantburg Road & E. North Street. Kevin is a true professional and has been cutting hair a long time. Kevin has high-end clippers and shears, a sign of an artist! He's VERY detailed and precise, plus you'll get a great conversation. He's awesome! - Stephen G.

The Golden Razor on Pleasantburg. Kevin Mullen is the owner. Bob Tesnear has been cutting my hair since I was 10 years old (I’m now 45). - Mike C.

✂ Furman Barber Shop | 2717 Poinsett Hwy.

GVLtoday reader feedback: Furman Barber Shop on Poinsett Hwy between Lowe’s and Furman. Dave is a great barber! Old school is the important thing to remember here... no shave, no shampoo, no mani-pedi’s. Just great conversations (think Floyd’s on Andy Griffith show) and great haircuts. - Terrance L.

✂ Halls Barber Shop | 121 Murray Dr.

GVLtoday reader feedback: Halls Barber Shop in Mauldin is legendary. Five barbers— all Hall brothers + sons (who are third generation) - Gregg C.

I recommend Hall’s Barber Shop in Mauldin- a family owned barber shop where they “all know your name.” Good haircuts! $15/ cut. - Fred P.

✂ The Vintage Barber | 7 W Washington St.

GVLtoday reader feedback: Lauren not only makes me look good, but she's super down-to-earth and makes for good discussions as well - Graham H.

✂ Stone Avenue Barber Shop | 512 E Stone Avenue

✂ Logan at Stella’s Salon | 3324 Wade Hampton Blvd

✂ Daves Barbershop | 312 N. Poinsett Hwy. Travelers Rest, SC

✂ The Chop Shop | 3110 Wade Hampton Blvd. Taylors, SC

GVLtoday reader feedback: Locally owned and the haircuts are well-priced, ask for Truett, he is the owner. - Carolyn K.

You wouldn’t want to spend time + energy looking nice for a date then show up to see your S/O in sweatpants, would you? We gave you a couple days notice – go get those ears lowered.
