Fact: This past year, the Greenville Tech Foundation distributed $75,000 to 165 students with emergency needs like car repairs and medical bills. 👏

Also true: Although the Greenville Tech Foundation awarded 420 scholarships, they were forced to turn down 499 qualified scholarship applicants with significant financial need due to funding shortages.

The Greenville Tech Foundation believes that a worthy and driven student should never be denied access to education or a better future because of their inability to pay, and we couldn’t agree more.

The Greenville Tech Foundation is working to establish endowed scholarships (minimum $25,000), funded by donations, that help to:

Empower students to create new opportunities for their families through education
Develop a ready and capable workforce pipeline
Strengthen the fabric of our Greenville community

In the spirit of the New Year, here’s how you can help leave a lifelong legacy and invest in the future generations of Greenvillians.👇

What other assistance do students need?

Almost half of Greenville Tech students are first-generation college students whose families lack financial resources (read: roughly 56% of GTC students are food or housing insecure).

For students who are already struggling, one unexpected expense can easily become the final straw: the car repair bill they didn’t anticipate, the uniform they didn’t realize they had to buy, the tank of gas they need to get to class.
