Hey GVL, Grace here. 👋 You know, something about summertime makes me want to drive around town with the windows down listening to a killer music playlist.

I’m a big fan of creating personalized playlists for every mood + genre. Going on a road trip? Road trip playlist. Want to dance alone in my room? Reggaeton playlist. Working out? I don’t have a playlist for that because I don’t do that often.

This got me thinking – how cool would it be to have a Greenville playlist for locals, by locals? And, of course, it’d be great to have handy so you could share with friends when they’re visiting the 864.

So, I created the GVLtoday: Community Playlist (click the link) for all our Greenvillians. I went ahead + added some personal faves such as:

- “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond – as someone who worked at the Greenville Drive for several years, this was a no-brainer.
- “Hard to Love” by Lee Brice – DYK he used to be a lineman for the Clemson Tigers?
- “Homesick” by The Marcus King Band
- “Carolina” by Harry Styles – (#RIP One Direction)
- “Heard It in a Love Song” by the Marshall Tucker Band

Now it’s your turn. Simply create a free Spotify account (if you haven’t already), open the collaborative playlist, add the playlist to your library, and add songs that make you think of Greenville – whether that be the city in general, a person/relationship here, songs by local artists, or just a great memory. *Note: Please try to keep your song choices non-explicit.

Once you’ve added your faves, enjoy this little piece of Greenville on road trips, hanging out downtown, or during a city-side run.
