10 local health + wellness Instagrammers you should be following.

The end of an over-indulgent three-day weekend (looking at you, sugary mixed drinks + Memorial Day hotdogs) calls for a major health kick this week.

To help you (read: us) out, we’ve gathered 10 health/wellness/fitness IG’ers in Cola that can inspire you into working towards your #beachbod before your next vacation. ⬇️

📸 @avocadoadaynutrition // Rachel Hartley is a local dietitian whose drool-worthy recipes + food styling has us double tapping every time.

📸 @jamiescott_js (asked for photo permission) // If you need a little fitspo every now + then, follow Jamie Scott, the fearless leader of much-loved local gym Jamie Scott Fitness.

📸 @southernsqueezed // Columbia’s first juice-only, brick + mortar pressed juice shop has been serving us aesthetically drinks on Lady St. since 2015. Follow them for specials, sales + giveaways.

📸 @FitColumbia // Follow for Five Points-based fitspo + trendy workouts, like aerial yoga. Also: Puppy yoga, anyone?

📸 @letsgosc // This IG covers all the bases: food, drinks + outdoors. You can find recommendations for must-visit spots all over S.C.

📸 @healthybalancedblonde // She may be an Instagram newbie, but recent UofSC grad Morgan Elizabeth will have you convinced that healthier eating is accessible for everyone. Even if it’s just during snack time. (We don’t judge.)

📸 @purebarrecola // Want to feel uplifted + get motivated? Pure Barre’s feed always has inspiring posts. If their feed convinces you to join but you’re apprehensive – you can try your first week free.

📸 @ginsjuicesc // The iconic trailer often parked at Soda City that’s been pumping out fresh, healthy juice since 2014 will keep you updated on where they are + what they’re serving.

📸 @bitofdelish // You’d never believe that Christina O’Connor is a completely self-taught cook after looking through her recipes. Oh, and the adorable baby pics don’t hurt either.

📸 @yogamasala // If you’re on the fence about joining a yoga studio, or just attending a class in general, give Yoga Masala a follow. They’ll make a yogi out of you in no time.

I think the ultimate form of irony was assigning a breakdown of health + fitness gurus to, well, me. I’m not exactly the picture of health, but that’s what these people + businesses are here for – to get you started.

So make a recipe from one of the foodies, or grab a juice from Southern Squeezed, or go for a spin at Jamie Scott Fitness — or just live vicariously through Instagram. Baby steps.

Honorary mentions to @slowfoodcola, @tntcolumbia, @barre3columbia, @h_coop_, @crunchcolumbia + @goodlifecaferaw.
