#Voices: 7 food and drink flights in Cola (that aren’t beer)

Let’s talk about flights. We all know about the beer flight, an ingenious invention for indecisive people like me, who prefer to taste test unfamiliar beers before committing to a full pint. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is a whole world of flights beyond beer happening in Columbia. From bourbon to coffee to fries, here are 7 flights to put on your radar. ⬇

Margarita flight at Publico | 2013 Greene St.

🛫 Marg flavors include original, jalapeno, watermelon, blueberry + strawberry | 💸 4 for $10.50 | Pro tip: Sub in sangria or a mini cocktail for extra variety

Coffee flight at Curiosity Coffee Bar | 2327 Main St.

🛫 Try blends from Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ethiopia and Brazil | 💸 Four 3-ounce pours for $4.40

French fry flight at Grill Marks | 711 Gervais St.

🛫 Choose among skinny fries, fat fries, sweet potato fries, blue and pimento cheese fries + white truffle Parmesan fries | 💸 3 mini baskets for $8.99

Bourbon flight at Twisted Spur Brewing | 705 Gervais St.

🛫 Four 1-ounce bourbons | 💸 priced individually

Wine flight at Cellar on Greene | 2001 Greene St., Suite D

🛫 3 wines | 💸 $10 on Wednesdays starting at 5 p.m.

Tequila flight at Tios Mexican Cafe | 921 Sumter St.

🛫 Peligroso tequila | 💸 3 for $10 or add a non-Peligroso for added charge

Wine flight at Gervais & Vine | 620 Gervais St.

🛫 Cheese plate + 4 wine samples | 💸 $8 on Wednesdays

Flights are an easy way to try something new and broaden your flavor horizons. I mean, why pick just one of something when you can have three or four? Plus, I personally love the cute little cups the coffee flights come in at Curiosity Coffee Bar.

Did I miss your favorite flight? Let us know.

Honorary mention to the wine flights at Lula Drake, The Aristocrat, Kaminsky’s… We could go on. Is Cola a flight town?

Whatever you choose, be ready to be delighted by the unexpected.
