Let’s play Fixer Upper – the digital, Columbia version.

Local real estate firm The Moore Company hosted a new community project – Flip & Give – in which they renovated a Shandon bungalow; polling the public (read: you) on how to renovate + design that home, then sold it… and gave all the net proceeds to local charities (voted on, again, by the community).

What you voted on:

Through The Moore Company, you voted on the following design elements made to the house throughout the six-month process:

Floorplan | selected
Roof | selected
Kitchen cabinets | selected
Bathroom tile | selected
Kitchen countertops | selected
Exterior paint scheme | selected
Front door style | selected

And exclusively through COLAtoday (right here on this page), you chose the following bonus design elements (which elements, selected by you in August):

Outdoor add-ons | selected
Wet bar backsplash | selected

The results? See below, and thanks for playing.

Q2 Results: Wet bar backsplash tiles

We asked: Which tiles should adorn the wet bar backsplash?

You answered: Vintage mirror and tile diamonds. 🏆

Q1 Results: Outdoor add-ons

We asked: Which outdoor addition do you want to add to the home?

You answered: Back porch fireplace. 🏆

I liked to think of this as a game combining elements of House Hunters, Fixer Upper + Flip or Flop – where we chose how to build someone else’s house, without the loan and the stress. And, we actually listened to you, vs. that couple on TV that picked the place with the kitchen you hated.
