**Get away— or stay put— with these 6 springtime vacation homes.**

When the beach is already in your backyard, it may seem silly to plan a vacation around one. But as the days get longer + the temps get warmer, even the peninsula starts to feel a little bit landlocked.

To help you start planning your springtime escape, we’ve rounded up 6 houses along the Carolina coast using Airbnb + HomeAway.

So pick a weekend, group chat the crew, + break out one of those trampoline-based beach games that everyone seems to have but I don’t quite understand.

Take a short trek along I-95:

Wrightsville Beach, N.C.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 6
🛏 2 Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms
💰$225/night
🚘 ~4 hours from Charleston
🗺Known as one of the world’s top surfing and stand-up paddleboarding stops for both professional competitors + beginners, Wrightsville Beach is the perfect stop to ride the waves.

Hilton Head, S.C.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 6
🛏 2 Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms
💰$99/night
🚘 ~2 hours from Charleston
🗺 With over 60 miles of bike lanes + over 200 miles of shared paths, you won’t even need a car to enjoy your stay on this quaint island.

Rodanthe, N.C.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 16
🛏 7 Bedrooms + 5.5 Bathrooms
💰$175/night
🚘 ~7 hours from Charleston
🗺 Best-known for the Nicholas Sparks’ love story Nights in Rodanthe, the small Hatteras Island Village is one of the few places that still celebrates Old Christmas.

Atlantic Beach, N.C.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 6
🛏 3 Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms
💰$150/night
🚘 ~5.5 hours from Charleston
🗺 Atlantic Beach has more to offer than sand + waves. Take a morning trip to Fort Macon, a perfectly restored Civil War-era fort and museum, then spend the afternoon at the Pine Knolls Shore Aquarium.

Make it a staycation:

For less time on the roads + more time on the beach.

Folly Beach

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 12
🛏 4 Bedrooms + 3.5 Bathrooms
💰$150/night
🗺 Folly has an abundance of underrated restaurants like Jack of Cups + Chico Feo that are overshadowed by the downtown food scene. And don’t forget to make your Folly Beach vacation complete by picking up a boogie board + a cheesy beach towel at Treasure Island on your way there.

Isle of Palms

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sleeps 10
🛏 3 Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms
💰$230/night
🚘 ~35 minutes from Charleston
🗺 Don your best Tommy Bahamas button-downs + Lilly Pulitzer sundresses to play tourist for a little while. Or keep it really local by catching a show at the Windjammer.

I’ll be spending the weekend skiing in Steamboat, Colorado. Wish me luck on adjusting to the altitude + tell me about your spring break plans by sending an email to hello@thechstoday.com.
