Summer is almost in full swing, and it’s time to fire up the grill. Better yet — plan a backyard gathering with your closest friends and family to celebrate the sunshine season.

To get you started, we’ve rounded up everything you need to have the perfect summer grill out with all locally sourced products.

Meats + fixins’

Head to Ted's Butcherblock to stock up on ground beef + ribs. While you’re there, find a selection of curated wine. Burbage Meats is another option that offers a wide selection of top-tier meat options like Italian sausage and chicken wings.

For sides like potato salad, coleslaw, mac and cheese, corn on the cob, baked beans, and chips + salsa, swing by one of Charleston’s finger-lickin’-good barbecue spots.

Breads + pastries

If you need some bread and maybe a few sweet carbs to round out your plate, stop by Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery, EVO Craft Bakery, Wildflour Pastry, or Weltons Tiny Bakeshop.

Drinks

For bottled and canned craft beers, check out the Frothy Beard to-go selection. Want to toast with bubbles? Try Don Luchi Prosecco. Looking for a zero-proof option? Sèchey has an impressive lineup of non-alcoholic wine, beer, and spirit alternatives.

Desserts

It’s not a proper summer grill out without plenty of dessert options. Order a Holy City favorite like Charleston Chewies from Daddy's Girls Bakery.

Up your dessert game with cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, or specialty treats from Sugar Bakeshop.

Turn up the heat with Red Clay Hot Sauce. This Charleston-based brand offers restaurant-quality hot sauces, chili crisps, and hot honey.
