Progress is being made on Ingleside Park in North Charleston. This park is expected to include over 400 acres of highlands and wetlands and the City of North Charleston recently approved its purchase for $6 million.

Ingleside Park is a future project to allow for nature trail access in close proximity to the residents of the area.

The driving force for this purchase is the Charleston County Greenbelt Program. This program's mission is to design more green spaces in urban landscapes.

The outline for the park includes walking paths and nature trails in the highland areas. Focus is being put on the simplicity of nature and the wetlands of the Blue House Swamp.

A timeline has yet to be released but we will be sure to keep y'all posted.
