Today is World Sea Turtle Day and Charleston is home to various kinds of sea turtles.

Did you know the South Carolina Aquarium has a special Sea Turtle Care Center? Lately they have been making waves through the rehabilitation of multiple turtles from the care center.

Green sea turtles Karina, Orion, Muenster, and Feta were released into a saltmarsh near Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge this week.
At the beginning of the month, there were two large loggerhead turtles released back onto the shore of Folly Beach.
In April, the aquarium released seven rehabilitated sea turtles back into the water in Florida (due to warmer weathers).
