It’s official: The Refinery, a new mixed-use development on the upper peninsula, is opening its recently-completed outdoor amphitheater this weekend. Saturday + Sunday will feature concerts, food trucks, and of course plenty of fun.

Here’s what to expect: The amphitheater features a covered stage and green space. Permanent restrooms + concessions are housed in retrofitted shipping containers at the venue. “The Platform” rooftop for VIP concert goers includes elevated views and a private bar.
On Sat., Aug. 13, catch a performance by Trouble No More at 7 p.m. This Memphis-based group celebrates the Allman Brothers Band. Enjoy food and drinks from local food trucks Tamashii + And Lobster. Bonus: The concert will benefit The Big House Foundation.

Jam out to a blend of roots, folk + electronic music by Trevor Hall on Sun., Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. Fun fact: Trevor was raised on the coast of South Carolina. While you listen to tunes, grab eats from Roti Rolls and Co-Hog — we recommend Co-Hog’s Grouper Cheek Roll BLT.

Heads up: General admission parking is available at The Quin at 1940 Algonquin Rd. + VIP parking is in the gravel parking lot on the north side of The Refinery.

Boogie over to this new event space at 1640 Meeting Street Rd. Grab tickets to the upcoming shows.
