Tomorrow, the Lowcountry will come together to remember the five survivors and the nine lives taken during a bible study at Mother Emanuel AME Church on June 17, 2015.

This fall, the Emanuel Nine Memorial will open, neighboring the church at 110 Calhoun St. Construction is well underway, and a live camera feed will soon be available, so you can stay up to date on the latest progress as the memorial nears completion.

A crowd gathers in a serene outdoor courtyard framed by sweeping white sculptural walls, creating a space for reflection, remembrance, or community gathering. In the background, a historic church rises above the scene as sunlight filters through the trees, giving the rendering a peaceful and hopeful atmosphere. — The memorial invites visitors to reflect on how to build an inspiring future. | Rendering provided by Emanuel Nine Memorial Foundation
