Our top five stories from July

Hey, Charleston. 👋 Not to freak you out, but July is officially at its end– which means soon it’ll be back to school for kids, back to work for teachers, NFL pre-season starts this Thursday, + there’s only 16 weeks until Thanksgiving. Yikes!

While summer has flown by, we have to admit– July was one for the books. Each Friday, we explored how to spend a weekend in our nearby sister cities– shoutout to Columbia, Greenville, + Asheville; our team took surf lessons on Folly Beach; + we got the buzz on CBD oil.

Here is what y’all enjoyed the most this month:

🏖 Beach don’t kill my vibe
Before grabbing your Yeti, leashing up Buddy, + packing your Tommy Bahama umbrellas– read this to get the lowdown on your Lowcountry beach rules.

🍍 If only for one night…
If a friend were visiting the Holy City for just one day, where would you take them? We used some of your answers to compile a short-but-sweet 24-hour Charleston itinerary.

🍴Here’s your one-way ticket to Flavortown
We showed one of the finest foodies some love. Read on to revisit all the South Carolina restaurants once graced by the presence of– you guessed it: the one + only Guy Fieri.

🏡 DigsDigest: Apartment Hunters
Since our team knows firsthand how fun (read: agonizing) apartment hunting can be, we put together a little House Hunters-esque game to help a certain reader find her perfect #digs.

⛰The mountains are calling and you must go…
Guess which city Airbnb named “the most hospitable city in America?” Asheville. Here are ten of the coolest Airbnbs in the AVL mountains– including an airstream, a cottage (with hot tub), + a Dirty Dancing-esque cabin.

As we close out yet another month– thank you (again) to our readers, fans, + partners who get up with us every morning at 6 a.m.– supporting us in what we love to do: connect, inform, + engage the community.
