With school back in session, CARTA and the Charleston County School District have announced a new partnership all about art + community.

CARTA buses will transform into mobile art galleries, displaying artwork by local student artists attending Charleston County schools. This new project will allow the student's art to expand beyond the classroom and bring awareness to all that is happening in public schools' art programs around Charleston.

These student artists range in age from grades K-12, representing different skill levels coming from multiple schools in the district.

They showcase the diverse community that makes up Charleston County School District, the second largest school system in South Carolina. Community members will see the artwork throughout its service area. Preview some of the digital displays.
