One of the most loveable things about Portland is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aquarius: Buckman | Jan. 20-Feb. 18

The unique businesses of Buckman embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. We recommend hitting up Rontoms for a late-night drink and some ping pong on the spacious back patio — there are even fire pits for when it's chilly. Your mind will be blown at Hopscotch Portland, a 23,000-sqft immersive art gallery with interactive exhibits, plus whimsical cocktails and food.

Pisces: Northwest District | Feb. 19-March 20

Find the perfect escapist moment for a Pisces to relax, whether that's enjoying a latte, headphones on, at The Dragonfly Coffee House, or taking a stroll in Forest Park. As an introvert, this sign needs a quaint spot to recharge the social battery — like brunch with close friends at Stepping Stone Cafe.

Aries: Lloyd District | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home in the Lloyd District, the intersection of Portland's past and future. Between redevelopment plans and Albina Vision Trust's ambitions, the city's next chapter will be written here and you're more than a supporting character.

Taurus: Goose Hollow | April 20-May 20

As a lover of loyalty, you’ll feel right at home in Goose Hollow. Roots run deep here, whether you're cheering on the Timbers and Thorns at Providence Park, or eating the "best Reuben on the planet" for the umpteenth time in the pub that Bud built.

Gemini: Alberta Arts District | May 21-June 20

The extroverted nature of a Gemini means they tend to get along with all kinds of people — similar to Alberta, which has must-visit spots for foodies, art aficionados, and live music lovers. And if you're looking for more bustle, try the summer months' Last Thursday street fair.

Cancer: Sellwood-Moreland | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is the perfect match for Sellwood-Moreland, a sought-after place for families looking to raise kids. It's certainly easy to keep them busy, between Oaks Amusement Park and Westmoreland Park's playground, but adults can also have fun at the antique shops and local speakeasy.

Leo: Sunnyside | July 23-Aug. 22

The Sunnyside neighborhood, known best for Belmont Boulevard, is a perfect fit for the welcoming and proud nature that a Leo embodies. This sign makes its presence known — similar to this neighborhood’s popular destinations like holiday spectacle Peacock Lane, vegan restaurant Fermenter, and Movie Madness Video and its museum.

Virgo: Old Town/Chinatown | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This earth sign has very practical and grounded qualities. Between the annual events at Lan Su Chinese Garden, dazzling shows at Darcelle XV, Portland Saturday Market, and Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade, this neighborhood will leave a Virgo’s busy mind feeling right at home.

Libra: St. Johns | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

St. Johns' active-yet-small-town vibe is just as balanced as a Libra. With local bars like Mosaic Taphouse, coffee spots like The Great North, and unique shops like FINAL FORM, this quirky and calm part of Bridge City is fitting for this air sign.

Scorpio: Multnomah Village | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The independent aura of Multnomah Village's historic core perfectly encapsulates this water sign. This slice of town is packed with locally owned businesses and contains some of Portland’s best shopping, dining, and experiences. For beer lovers, Johns Marketplace is heaven on Earth.

Sagittarius: Montavilla | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

As an adventure seeker, you’ll be able to make a speedy getaway to the Columbia Gorge (and beyond) thanks to its close access to I-84 and Portland International Airport. There's plenty of entertainment back home, like catching a second-run flick at Academy Theater or exploring the culinary wonders of Master Kong.

Capricorn: Pearl District | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

With how hardworking you are, you’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of opportunities to network and work remotely, whether you're at CENTRL Office or on the patio at Barista. When it’s time to cut loose, Capricorns have plenty of choices when it comes to bars and breweries.
