Nearing the completion of its $35 million refresh, Bridgeport Village is ready to boost its cachet as a destination shopping center.

The Tigard mall, located just 15 minutes south of Portland on I-5, will host a variety of events and activities this summer aimed at families looking for kid-friendly fun on the weekends.

At the top of these attractions is the Live Music on the Village Green series, where visitors can enjoy concerts every Friday (5-7 p.m.), Saturday (3-5 p.m. + 6-8 p.m.), and Sunday (2-4 p.m.), now until Saturday, Sept. 30.

Summer Saturdays will be a chance for local children's musicians like Aaron Nigel Smith to take the stage and for retailers like Little Kitchen Academy to provide additional entertainment. The park-like atmosphere is also ideal for playtime and a picnic.
