If you're looking to give the gift of an experience this holiday season, we've got you covered. Check out these Columbus activities and events that are sure to unwrap some excitement.

Candle making

Do you know what's better than gifting a candle? Giving someone a gift card to Penn & Beech so they can custom make their own candle. There are locations in the Short North, Worthington, and Grandview. We checked it out for ourselves — here's how it works.

DIY crafting

Make a reservation for you and a friend at Makers Social in Franklinton to create a project ranging from jewelry to home decor. Watch our experience at the craft bar to see how the process works.

Concerts

Whether your loved ones love Lionel Richie or Kacey Musgraves, there's an upcoming concert to choose from — so you can treat them to a ticket. Pro tip: Keep checking back as we update our concert list with new announcements.

Spa day

Nothing says "I'm thinking of you" like a spa day. Spoil someone special with a massage or facial at the following spots:

Outdoor fun

If you're shopping for someone who enjoys being active, here are some great options for this winter:

Book out some time for a night on the ice at one of the outdoor ice skating rinks.
Schedule a slopes session at Mad River Mountain or Snow Trails.
Reserve at evening at Land-Grant's Wintergarden, complete with brewery curling and ice bumper cars.
Plan a dinner for two in an igloo at Lumin Sky Bar downtown or VASO in Dublin.

Bonus: Making sure your loved ones stay in the loop by telling them about our daily newsletter also counts as a great gift... at least in our books.
