It’s time to toss those hats, Buckeyes. On Sun., May 8, the university will host its spring commencement + graduation ceremony where 12,000+ students will finish their journeys at Ohio State.

This calls for a celebration, so here are three spots that can sit large groups (we know your student has a fanbase) to feast in ways the dining halls could never have provided.

Top of the class tapas

When it comes to dining at VASO, keep the small plates coming as the Dublin restaurant features a variety of tapas that are meant to be shared with the whole table. Sample the charcuterie board, split an order of cilantro lime hummus, and get an extra plate for the grilled tenderloin. Tables larger than eight people must call ahead, but reservations can be booked online.

A+ seafood

Looking for dim lighting + an upscale setting to celebrate in? Mitchell’s Ocean Club brings the ambience and offers high-quality cuts of meat like blackened snapper, ahi tuna, and Chilean sea bass. For an extra large group, we recommend the private dining area which can sit 25 people and be booked in advance.

First-team All-American fare

With the ability to seat up to 20 people in a single online reservation, Lindey’s Restaurant and Bar in the German Village can host most of your large gatherings. This local restaurant has been in the area since 1981 + its popular menu has anything from shrimp risotto to filet mignon with buttermilk chive butter.
