This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for. After asking our readers to submit their paw-fect pet photos, we’ve put together our first adorable roundup of Winston-Salem furry friends.

We received nearly 70 photos of our neighborhood cats and dogs (and one chicken entry). Meet a few of the crew.

Put your paws up for...

Ernie | "Ernie is almost 13 years old and has lived in 10 apartments or houses. In each one, he has figured out that if he has to go pee but no one is home to take him, he can jump in the tub and pee in there. He was never taught to do this!"

Hobby | "I found Hobby in a box at Hobby Park when he was 8 weeks old. He has been glued to my side ever since!"

Dolly + Martha | "Polish girls in the twin city. Known for their stylish hair and calm demeanor, they bring quite the flare, and egg production, to our Ardmore home."

Boots | "Boots is a devoted double Goldendoodle with a heart of gold — working tirelessly as our son’s loyal autism service dog, he turns everyday moments into milestones!"

Athena-Grace | "Athena loves to go with me on all adventures. From Florida to North Carolina. There are not many places Athena has not visited."

Jax | "Jax is a retired racing greyhound from Ireland. He recently had surgery on his paw and is doing well."

Rocky | "Part dog, part cat, part sloth…"
