Hey, Raleigh — RALtoday team member Garcelle here. Come along for an afternoon of relaxation thanks to a 50-minute NOW massage + Scalp Renewal Enhancement at The NOW Massage.

What we tried:

After check-in, I waited in the lobby before meeting my massage therapist, Holly, in the tranquil transition space where we discussed expectations and my preferences (which was a great time to mention problem areas).

Holly then led me into the massage space where each room is separated by thick canvas. The NOW's signature scent and calming white noise immediately start working to relax me.

The 50-minute NOW massage focuses on rejuvenating, relieving stress, reducing anxiety, and inducing total relaxation — all of which I can confirm.

Read on to learn what products I took home, how the enhancement went (hint: it may have been my favorite part) + how you can be treated to a complimentary enhancement yourself.

What not to miss:

I stopped by the boutique and took home some of The Calm Balm from Nourish by The NOW, a U-shaped Gua Sha stone, and a Santal Tabacco candle — I couldn't resist.

The boutique also features crystal mixes, incense holders, jewelry, body oils, and more.

Pro tip: Plan to arrive about 20 minutes early (like I did) and give yourself time to shop before your session.

What we’re still talking about:

The Scalp Renewal Enhancement — it was, to be frank, absolute heaven. As the finishing touch to an equally incredible massage, the enhancement is a stimulating scalp massage using coconut oil (which, as you can imagine, smells divine) to balance + hydrate the scalp, creating an ideal environment for hair to thrive.

Scalp massage is not only extremely relaxing, it also increases blood circulation to the hair follicles, which can deliver essential nutrients that can contribute to healthier, thicker hair and a calm state of mind.

Bonus: First timers to The NOW Massage Midtown Raleigh will be treated to a complimentary enhancement with the code ENCHANCENOW.

How you can experience this:

Choose from 25-, 50-, or 80-minute massages and three different offerings: The NOW, The Healer, or The Stretch. Enhancements (which are so worth it) include deep tissue, gliding cupping, gua sha, scalp renewal + more.

Pro tip: A Ritual Membership gives you access to monthly or bi-monthly 50- or 80-minute massages with up to $70 savings.
