Valentine's Day is just around the corner — and don't worry, we've got the gifts covered. If you're looking to keep things classic this V-Day, consider shopping local for the essentials including chocolate, flowers, and spa treatments for your beau.

For love that's still blooming

Have your loved one stop and smell the roses with local arrangements fit for new romances or your long-time partner. We love Fallon's Flowers and its florals for every occasion — not just Valentine's Day. While you're picking up your bouquet from TG Floristry, grab one of Ky's Kandles for some added ambiance.

For your sweetheart

Indulge your valentine in a gift that's as sweet as them. Shop trays of bonbons and hot-sauce infused chocolate to spice things up from Videri, or give the gift of adventure with a tasting kit from Escazú.

For the one who deserves some pampering

If hot towels, eye cucumbers, and soothing scents sound like your significant other's idea of fun, give them a day at a Raleigh spa, like Woodhouse, Synergy Face + Body, and Blue Water Spa. Pro tip: Get in on the fun with a couples massage or facial for some extra time to connect.

For love that will last a lifetime

Precious, strong, brilliant. These aren't just words to describe your valentine — get them some jewelry to match their dazzling personality. With four local locations, we love shopping Bailey's for designer + fine jewelry and watches from this local, family-owned store. We also love Edge of Urge's collection of hand-stamped jewelry and artisan-made accessory.

For a last-minute meal

Reservation-free restaurants are a little more risky on holidays like Valentine's Day, but with the right timing, you can have a top-notch meal without any of the reservation scrambling. For a classic steak dinner, try The Peddler, which is reservation-free for groups smaller than eight, and for something more eclectic, go for Stanbury. If you're looking for just drinks and dessert, grab a seat at Bittersweet.
