Clear a shelf on that bookcase. The fifth annual Greater Charlotte Book Crawl is back through Friday, April 30. The annual event encourages book lovers to visit 25 independent bookstores across the Queen City.

Here's how it works:

Visit any of the bookstores to pick up a free passport or print your own.
Collect a stamp at each bookstore.
The more stamps you collect, the more prizes you unlock

Once all the passports are collected, submit it online by April 30 to win the grand prize, which includes a gift card to each bookstore and Hathorne's Pizza.

The annual crawl is running in conjunction with Independent Bookstore Day, happening Saturday, April 25. Psst... here's a list of local shops to help get you started.
