More than 1,100 homes are coming to two neighborhoods about 20 minutes outside of Charlotte. Developer PulteGroup is building Carolina Ridge, a 670-acre master-planned community designed with multiple generations in mind.

Two neighborhoods, one community

Carolina Ridge will be split into two neighborhoods, giving residents different options depending on where they are in life.

The Retreat at Carolina Ridge will have:

613 traditional, single-family homes
Prices from the upper $400,000s to low $1 millions

Del Webb Carolina Ridge will be for adults 55 and older, with:

497 ranch homes for active adults
Prices from the lower $400,000s to the $800,000s

PulteGroup aims for the community to keep generations close, without living under the same roof.

"It's a rare opportunity to keep multiple generations close without sacrificing the right fit for each stage of life,” said PulteGroup Division President Scott Herr.

Bonus: There will be plenty of places to spend time outside the house. Shared amenities will include a clubhouse with a fitness center, golf simulator, resort-style pool, walking trails, and a dog park. Del Webb residents will also have an on-site lifestyle director.

Take a tour

Ready to peek inside? Model homes in both neighborhoods will open Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 9 a.m.

"This weekend's grand opening is a chance for buyers to tour our model homes and choose their homesite before anyone else," added Herr.
