Charlotte welcomes new residents every day. Finding an apartment can happen quickly, but feeling like a local takes a little more time. It’s knowing your neighbors, finding your go-to coffee shop, and discovering the people + places that make Charlotte feel a little smaller.

Hawthorne Residential Partners helps residents feel at home across Charlotte through responsive onsite teams and a focus on genuine connection. That commitment has earned Hawthorne’s No. 1 ranking in resident satisfaction nationwide. So, how do they do it?

Enter: Hawthorne Experiences. Through monthly events, local partnerships, volunteer opportunities, and activities, the resident program helps neighbors connect + explore the city around them. Think: gatherings featuring Charlotte businesses, ways to support local nonprofits, and plenty of reasons to step outside and say hello to your new neighbors.

Residents say it works. At Hawthorne Waterstone, one resident shared that monthly happenings made it “super easy to get to know our neighbors.” After four years at Hawthorne at Westport, another said, “We know many of our neighbors — some have also been here for years. It feels like a real community.”

No two Charlotte neighborhoods are identical, so the experience looks a little different at each Hawthorne community.

After moving from Boston to Charlotte, one prospective resident toured apartments throughout Plaza Midwood. 808 Hawthorne stood out for its location, “good vibe,” and “super responsive” team.

At Hawthorne at Whitehall, one resident put it simply: “I’ve never felt as at home as I do now.”

From the energy of Plaza Midwood to the quieter pace of Mint Hill, each neighborhood offers its own Queen City experience. Regular events and local connections make it easier to become part of it — because choosing where to live is also about the community waiting outside your door.
