Get ready for a record-breaking good time at the theme park. Carowinds announced its newest ride, Rip Roarin' Falls, will open in 2027, and it's all thanks to feedback from parkgoers.

"The main driver for this was guest feedback. Our guests wanted water rides in our hard park," Chris Foshee, regional manager of public relations at Carowinds, told CLTtoday.

The ride will feature the world's tallest log flume drop (at more than 100 ft), plus the tallest reverse drop and tallest reverse camelback. Situated near Fury 325 and taking over the former Rip Roarin' Rapids space, the attraction is being made unique to the North/South Carolina park.

"There's nothing like it. This ride is specifically designed for this park," James Sidler, construction and facilities manager, explained during a behind-the-scenes tour.

Once complete, the attraction will take eight passengers through a six-and-a-half-minute ride, reaching speeds of 50 mph. An exact opening date is TBA.
