It’s no surprise that with our abundance of breweries comes some pretty rad beer label art. Recently, USA Today selected Asheville’s Archetype Brewing as one of their 19 choices for their People’s Choice Best Beer Label contest, which we think is pretty great. You can support the cause and vote for them (or your other fave label) once daily from now through next Tues. March 17. Ten winners will be announced Fri., March 27.

That got us thinking – In honor of the beer + art fusion that happens in our city, we wanted to turn it over to you, our loyal readers. Which local beer (or cider, etc.) cans have your favorite art? Bonus points if they’re also designed by local artists.

To help get you thinking, here are a couple of ours –

We’re so into the siren song of this iconic mermaid, designed by Big Bridge and illustrated by Greu (@greutattooer), founder of Integrity Alliance in Asheville. 🧜‍♀️

Illustrated by local artist Becka Schoedel (who also tattoos at Thistle and Pearl) and designed by Big Bridge, we love the flora + fauna on this can – especially that wily fox. 🦊

Now, it’s your turn. We want to know what local beer can art you love. Give us all the deets below. We’ll select our top picks and then let you vote on which brewery is serving up the most artistic beer in the 828. Cheers to everyone who makes our craft beer scene so spectacular. 🍻
