Happy Halloween from your favorite ghouls at KCtoday. We know you have been celebrating the spooky season all month long, but today is the official day to get your boo on. 👻

There's no age limit on Halloween. Whether you are looking for a neighborhood to take the kiddos trick-or-treating, or need a local candy store to get your sweet tooth fix, we have everything you need to make this Halloween the best one yet.

Trick-or-treating spots 🏘️

Did you know that Olathe was voted the 7th best place to trick-or-treat in the country in 2019? The neighborhoods are fully decorated and candy is at no shortage here. Plus, almost a quarter of residents are under the age of 15 — making the Halloween magic alive and well.
Bring your little ghouls and goblins to the Brookside Trick-or-Treat Street event from 4-6 p.m. Located at the historic Brookside shops — between Wornall and Main from 62nd Terrace to Meyer Boulevard — this is a local tradition you can't miss.
Looking to find your candy downtown? Check out this map from the Westside North Neighborhood Association — including all the themed house decorations. Fingers crossed for full-size candy bars. Beware: this might get spooky.

Local candy stores 🍬

The Candy Wizard | 400 Grand Blvd., Ste. 414, Kansas City, MO | Featuring 96 flavors of salt water taffy.
Chip's Chocolate Factory | Crown Center Shops | For the chocolate lovers. Check out the 200+ chocolate confections this shop has to offer.
Laura's Little Candy | 2100 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS | This sweet tooth's heaven has been open since 1970 — continuing to make candy "the old fashioned way."

For grown-ups 👻

Having a case of the Monday scaries? Hallo-weekend will do that to you. Grab a pick-me-up at Kinship Cafe — we recommend the Flash Brew in these trying times. Bonus points (and 50% off your order) if you come dressed in costume.
For the "Hocus Pocus" fans. The 9th annual Hocus Poke Us staged reading at the Folly Theater is scarily funny. The event starts at 7 p.m., find tickets here.
