Chiefs leadership has thrown it back to the fans, inviting all members of the Red Kingdom to share their thoughts with two surveys: potential renovations to Arrowhead and considering all-new stadium plans. The feedback will inform Chiefs leadership's "ongoing decision-making process," though no timeline was given regarding results or decision announcements.

Adding a few bells + whistles

It was this time last year when the Chiefs first released bombshell renderings of a completely renovated Arrowhead, contingent on the stadium sales tax measure (which ultimately failed) and a Kauffman Stadium-free Truman Sports Complex.

While neither has come to fruition (yet), the current survey references some perks it originally pitched, including:

Upper concourse bridge offering wrap-around access and temperature-regulated canopies
The Activation Zone, an entertainment-centered, turf-covered tailgate zone
Upgraded VIP entrances, clubs + luxury suites
Enhanced stadium accessibility accommodations

A few previously mentioned upgrades were not featured this time around:

Pedestrian bridges, additional parking + a dedicated rideshare zone
New concession spaces, many converted to grab-and-go markets
New LED Ribbon Boards and upgraded TV, Wi-Fi, DAS, and Audio System Technology

Opting for all new

Once you've shared your thoughts on potential renovations, the survey will prompt you to answer a few questions about an all-new stadium for Patrick and his Mahomies.

Enhanced stadium accessibility, improved seating, and upgraded amenities are similarly shared, but fans are asked to weigh in on:

Location, ranking a preference for KCMO, KCK, or the current Truman Sports Complex
Roof style, ranking variations of open air, fixed, and canopy
A Personal Seat License program, a financing strategy that would offer fans the right "to purchase season tickets for that seat for the lifetime of the new stadium" for a one-time fee

Timeout, team. Make sure to submit your response by Friday, Jan. 17 but in the meantime, be sure to let us know what you think about the stadium situation: team renovation or team brand new?
