Did you know? Not only does Kansas City have a thriving local arts + culture scene, it’s also home to Friends of Chamber Music, a sophisticated homegrown organization dedicated to bringing world-class chamber music to KC.

Friends of Chamber Music was created in 1975 by pianist Cynthia Siebert, who originally conceptualized the project as a series of intimate, in-home performances by traveling musicians. Since its humble grassroots beginning, Friends of Chamber Music has grown into an internationally acclaimed chamber music series with an impressive roster of performers including the Emerson Quartet, The Tallis Scholars, and so many more.

Although COVID-19 presented a challenge for the live music industry, the Friends are back + better than ever for their 47th year of programming. Single tickets for the 2022-2023 season are available starting Tues., Sept. 6 — that’s today.
