Looking toward the future of the 816, there are several empty commercial spaces for sale in downtown Kansas City. We like to see it as an empty canvas to imagine what could come next to the City of Fountains — basically, daydreaming for grown-ups.

Now, we want you to be the broker: What do you envision for these properties? 🏙️

500 Southwest Blvd., KCMO | 20,000 sqft | $3,200,000 ($160/sqft)
This multi-level space offers two levels of office + flex space and an open two-story atrium — talk about natural light.

Editor's Suggestion: Editor Bella thinks this space could be an amazing creative hub. Think: Podcast studios, photography rentals, and a small business market on the atrium level.

The open floor plan + functional kitchenette opens up a world of possibility for this space. Plus, the building is solar powered, cutting on energy costs.

215-217 W. 19th Ter., KCMO | 16,440 sqft | $2,000,000 ($122/sqft)
Talk about character. For the first time in 25+ years, this historic and charming spot (built in 1927) is up for grabs.

2007 Broadway Blvd., KCMO | 4,122 sqft | $968,670 ($235/sqft)
This former bank, located conveniently in the Crossroads Arts District, nice is fitted with a drive-thru and highly visible exterior sign.

1520 Grand Blvd., KCMO | 20,191 sqft | $3,100,000 ($154/sqft)
The available third floor + rooftop of this historic Crossroads building live above recordBar, a local music venue.

Editor's Suggestion: Editor Travis thinks we should keep the theme going + get a rooftop bar going. Downtown could never have too many.

1428 St. Louis Ave., KCMO | 36,000 sqft | $3,240,000 ($90/sqft)
If walls could talk. This 1886 industrial space in the West Bottoms is awaiting an owner to bring the history to modern day KC.
