Today we’re helping you form a game plan for Foxborough — no matter how you spell the town name, chances are you’ve attended an event at Gillette Stadium with 65,878 fellow fans. Gillette Stadium is home of the New England Patriots NFL team and the New England Revolution MLS team.

As we get ready to kick off the Pats' preseason today, Thursday, Aug. 10, we want to make sure your pre-event activities win big.

Where is Foxborough?

The town, which is home to the only NFL team in the state, is located in Norfolk County, which is ~25 miles from Boston.

How to get there:

There is a MBTA Commuter Rail on the Franklin/Foxboro line. Check the MBTA for schedule updates before your event.

Attendees can also drive the 40 minutes down I-95 to 1 Patriot Pl. The parking lots surrounding the stadium open four hours prior to football games + two hours before soccer matches. Pro tip: Get there early and pack your patience for the event day traffic.

Things to do nearby:

Patriot Place
This shopping center has everything from retail to restaurants, and plenty of places to wet your whistle before an event. There’s a Topgolf Swing Suite, bowling alley, and movie theater for added entertainment.

Patriots Hall of Fame
The interactive museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop by to learn about the history of the team + see the Hall of Famers.

Here are some upcoming events to attend this month:

🏈 Patriots vs. Texans | Thursday, Aug. 10 | 7 p.m. | Cheer on the Pats in their first (and only) home game of the NFL preseason.

⚽ New England Revolution vs. Nashville | Sunday, Aug. 20 | 8:30 p.m. | The Revs and Nashville meet in a clash of top five teams in the Eastern Conference.

Things might look a bit different every time you visit the stadium this season — learn more about the renovation projects.
