Louisville's MeeshMeesh ranked No. 3 on Yelp's 2024 Best New Restaurants in America list.

The NuLu Mediterranean spot from Chef Noam Bilitzer was chosen through guest feedback and Yelp’s trends team.

In its listing, Yelp wrote, "Mediterranean meets Appalachia at Chef Noam Bilitzer’s buzzy Louisville joint," noting that MeeshMeesh has become, "one of the hottest (and hardest) tables to grab" in Derby City.

And with a menu that includes dishes like the shawarma-spiced chicken thighs, we couldn't agree more.

Yelp selected 25 restaurants for its list. MeeshMeesh ranked behind spots in New York and Nashville, but ahead of new eateries in San Diego, Dallas, and Honolulu among others.

It's not the first honor MeeshMeesh has plated this year: It was named the No. 2 Best New Restaurant in the South, also by Yelp.

Bonus: You didn't think Edward Lee was Louisville's only celebrity chef, did you? Noam Bilitzter won the TV show "Chopped" back in 2018.
