In case you missed it, Truck-a-Palooza returns this Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — and this year, the event is heading to a new location: Tates Creek High School.

The free event features more than 20 city trucks and the employees who operate them, representing departments including waste management, water quality, streets and roads, traffic engineering, environmental services, and building inspection.

Attendees are invited to explore vehicles up close, meet drivers, and learn how city services operate behind the scenes. Bonus: “Thanks a Ton” coloring sheets will be available for kids to share with drivers and staff.

Also included at the event:

A Truck Roadeo featuring live demonstrations and skill showcases from city drivers
A sensory-friendly quiet time from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with no horn honking, creating a more comfortable experience for children and adults sensitive to sound
Food available for purchase throughout the morning

Consider your weekend plans covered, Lexington.
