In a previous newsletter, we mentioned that visiting the UK Art Museum was one of our favorite wintertime activities. And today, we’d like to preview its two brand new exhibitions that are officially open to the public until Sat., June 4.

The Exhibitions

Todd Hido: The Poetry of Darkness |
Todd Hido is a photographer known for finding romance in the mundane. For the last 25 years, Todd has returned countless times to his childhood home of Kent, Ohio to photograph the sleepy town at night. His photographs utilize the eerie evening light + darkening skies to suggest untold stories of life in the midwest. His photographs let your imagination invent the stories.
Brilliant Illusions: Crafted Forms by Li Hongwei |
Li Hongwei is a contemporary artist who specializes in ceramics. His work is a fresh take on the ceramic traditions of ancient China — oftentimes finding ways to reanimate the past while simultaneously exploring the future of this ~20,000-year-old art form.

Bonus:

The “Sally Davies: New Yorkers” exhibit is still on display until March 19. Her portraiture work of life in NYC is incredible.
