The long-awaited arrival of Revive Sauna Studio is finally here, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Can you think of a better place to be on a cold winter’s day than relaxing in a toasty, 100+ degree pod?

We were lucky enough to stop by for a sweat at the new infrared sauna studio in Chevy Chase. One word to describe our experience: blissful.

What is Revive Sauna Studio?

Revive Sauna Studio offers a unique individualized sauna experience that uses infrared heat technology. The cool + inviting space has 10 individual rooms, one being handicap accessible — each housing an infrared sauna bed. Unlike traditional saunas with coals, infrared heat penetrates at the cellular level — offering numerous health benefits. Think of a slow gradual sweat.
Bonus: Two of the rooms have two pods for group sessions.

What we tried

The classic 30-minute sweat session. The first 15 minutes feel like you’re basking in the glow of the warm sun. The second half is when things start to heat up —we’re talking beads of sweat just rolling off.

Pro tip: Bring your arms out of the pod if you need a little relief.

What we’re still talking about

The relaxation. Imagine, 30 minutes of uninterrupted me-time. No kids, no bosses, no fur babies. Just you, some calming music, and the peace of mind knowing you’re burning 300+ calories while literally just laying there. We also loved the cold towel service midway through. Hello, nap time.

How you can experience this

Right now, booking is done through Revive Sauna Studio's Instagram account or by calling the studio. Here’s a preview of its grand opening prices, which will continue through the end of February —

First sweat is free, after that, $30 per drop-in
5 Pack for $79
10 Pack for $159
20 Pack for $279

Things to know if you go

Must Do: Wear loose clothing + drink plenty of water. Putting jeans or leggings back on after a sweat is basically a workout.
