Want to see Indy from a new vantage point? When the weather gets hot, it only makes sense to hit the water for a kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding adventure. Let's dive into a few local ways to get your feet wet.

Frank's Paddlesports Livery | 5-minute drive | This company rents out a handful of different watercrafts + hosts fun events you can attend with your whole gang. This month's offerings include a moonrise paddle, a Pride paddle party, and a boats + brews partnership with Guggman Haus.
Indy Canal | 5-minute drive | Wheel Fun Rentals offers swan boat, single kayak, and double kayak rentals. Swan boats accommodate five people, and you can bring your own food + non-alcoholic drinks on board.
White River in Noblesville | 30-minute drive | Pro tip: Editor Shea recommends coordinating your vehicles so you can launch at Potter's Bridge Park and hop off the river at the concrete boat ramp near Logan Street. On a kayak, the journey will take you less than an hour. Alternatively, you can utilize the White River Canoe Company if you prefer a leisurely 4-5 hour tubing trip with easy bus transport instead.

Sugar Creek | 1-hour drive | Canoe, kayak, or tube through Turkey Run + Shades State Parks. Pro tip: Fuel up before your trip with a meal at Up The Creek Restaurant.
Blue River | 2-hour drive | This quiet, scenic option is your best shot at viewing wildlife as you paddle along a 12-mile trip.
Tippecanoe River | 2-hour drive | Lay back and relax during a 3.5-mile tubing trip, or get that arm workout in with a 7.5-mile kayaking excursion.
Chain O' Lakes | 2.5-hour drive | Take on the 9 Lake Challenge to get a free sticker — and see lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery along the way. This state park is also one of Editor Shea's favorite camping spots.
