National Dog Day is coming up this weekend on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Whether you're hoping to volunteer to help local dogs, pawty with your own furry friend, or add a new pooch to your family, check out a few ways to celebrate locally.

Adopt a furry friend at SPCA Tampa Bay's Clear the Shelters event this Saturday starting at 10 a.m., where adoption fees will be waived.
Head to Hyde Park Village from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for photo ops, a chain stitching pop-up with Rose James at Downtown Dogs, and a free pup cup with your purchase at OddFellows.
Enjoy free entry all day at Two Shepherds Taproom for National Dog Day (you must pre-register your pup first).
Sign up to volunteer at Health Mutt's Clear the Shelters event this Saturday and Sunday.
