Remember when we shared that Tampa would be getting its own fleet of golden Tesla SUVs? Well the wait is almost over.

Earlier this week, the Tampa Downtown Partnership announced they are gearing up to launch DASH in mid-October.

“We wanted to make sure this new way to get around Downtown is just as distinctive as the other transportation options it’ll be joining," Shaun Drinkard, Interim President of the Tampa Downtown Partnership, said in a release. "When you think about the streetcar with its classic look, or a colorful e-bike or scooter, or the swords on the side of the Pirate Water Taxi, we know DASH’s bright yellow Teslas will be a great addition."

We'll report back when the official launch date is announced, but in the meantime, we have some need-to-know info to spill:

How much will a ride cost?

Are they still looking for drivers?
