You know how the saying goes: “A friend with a boat is better than owning a boat.”

Skip the friend part and get straight to enjoying a day on the water with Getmyboat, an Airbnb-like service that lets you rent boats from locals and organizations in the area.

How it works

The boat rental company serves various US cities, including the Orlando area. To get started, create an account and search for the watercraft that best suits your needs for the day (anything from pontoons to yachts).

You can cater your search to exactly what you’re looking for — trips under $300, captained boats, jet skis, and more — or you can just browse what’s available.

You can add on a jet ski rental to the Yamaha 195S Jetboat for even more fun. | Photo via Getmyboat
