Primary care for today’s kids

Screen time. Nutrition. Mental health. As parenting continues to evolve, so do the challenges kids face. Pediatrician Dr. Christina Chen offers compassionate, whole-child care that speaks to the realities of modern parenting. Her latest blog offers timely tips for finding balance in your child’s life — both on and off the screen.

“If a child seems more withdrawn, sad, or irritable, is struggling in school, or is on their phone constantly, it may be time to check in.”

Know where to go: urgent + emergency care

For issues such as sprains, allergies, or sunburns, LRH Urgent Care is open seven days a week. And for more serious concerns (read: heat stroke or severe illness), their award-winning Emergency Department provides expert care locally.

What makes visiting urgent care different from visiting the ER or a PCP?

“Urgent Care is a convenient place to be seen for minor illnesses and injuries,” said Dr. David Remmer. “We also offer sports physicals and can help manage a wide variety of medical issues if your PCP is not available. ER would be best place to be seen for more severe symptoms.”
