Last week, we asked the question “would a beautification project work at Munn Park” and if so, what would you like to see added?

With over 200 poll results, 70 Instagram comments, 13 Facebook comments, and 7 emails — We’re sharing your responses to Lakeland’s apparent million dollar question. Here are some of the most popular suggestions:

Leave the green space alone! Replant the roses and leave it! — Reader Charlene V.

Please leave the park alone and add to the landscaping. More benches would be nice and perhaps a plan to shelter our homeless. — Reader Linda F.

Rest rooms are a first must, tables for lunch or dinners outdoors, a splash zone (small) for the little ones. Preserve space for Christmas Holiday displays and Hanakuh and/or other religions. Perpetual care to keep it clean and inviting. Alcohol free. Pets on leash only. — Reader Ted W.

Parking is already a problem at Munn Park, so avoid making it a "physical activities" park. Make it a garden/serenity park for people who are downtown anyway. — Reader Skip B.

A community garden! Full of butterfly and bumblebee pollinators. — @katlion

Horse carriage rides, splash park area.— @kelsielou.c0m

A beautiful butterfly/nature garden to replace the statue would be lovely and go with the butterfly statue theme around town. — @gothope77

I still think a beautiful carousel would be very nice for people of all ages! The carousel to be in line with what is specific for Lakeland, swans, alligators, and so on! — Reader Colleen S.

Bench swings and colorful flowers. — @taymcauley
