Just imagine we’re serenading you with Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly With Me” as you read today’s story… because that’s exactly what you can do.

Yesterday, we took to the skies to get a first-hand bird’s eye view of our favorite city in the world. The best part? You can do the same today, Fri., Mar. 18-Sun., Mar. 20, at Lakeland Linder International Airport.

The Experimental Aircraft Association is in town this weekend as part of the Ford Tri-Motor Tour. We spy with our little eyes… Lakeside Village. Even from 3,000+ ft, we can spot some tried + true Lakeland locations, including Grillsmith, Saigon Bistro, Thai Oishi, Books A Million, and more.

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts football stadium, which opened in 1941, was easy to spot thanks to the school’s bright signature colors. If you look just above that, you’ll see Lakeland Regional Hospital, with Lake Parker slightly up and to the right from there.

Two lakes for the price of one. In the center, you’ll find Lake Mirror (note the Lake Mirror Complex’s grass steps at the bottom). Using that as your landmark, you’ll find the Lakeland Fire Department on the right, followed by The Joinery, Catapult, the Summit Consulting building, and the Terrace Hotel along the top.

Ready to take off? Book your flight here. Tickets are $52 for children and $72 for adults and can be purchased now through Sun., Feb. 20 only. Pro tip: for an additional charge, you can fly in the cockpit like Rilee did.
